The Southern Arizona Association for the Education of Young Children promotes high-quality early learning for all children, birth through age 8, by connecting practice, policy, and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children.
We believe all young children thrive and learn in a society dedicated to ensuring they reach their full potential.
Please consider adding your voice to the SAZAEYC Board and collaborating with fellow early childhood educators, advocates, professionals, and students as we work to accomplish our mission. Serve your local community for one to two years while gaining valuable leadership skills and non-profit board work experience.

- Vice President of Nominations and Awards ( two-year term)
- Vice President of Membership (two-year term)
- Vice President of Services
- Vice President of Public Policy and Advocacy (two-year term)
- Secretary (two-year term)
- Student Representative ( 2 available)
- Member-at-Large [4 positions available] (two-year term)
Board meetings are held in person or virtual on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
Board service begins January 2025. Orientation, board retreat and welcome dinner for new board members will be scheduled for January.
