The Southern Arizona Association for the Education of Young Children (SAZAEYC) invites you to submit a proposal for the 2023 SAZAEYC Annual Conference. We want to be mindful of what is happening in our community and present on timely topics. The focus of this year’s conference will be Whole Child, Whole Teacher, Whole Learning: Honoring Culture in the Classroom and Beyond.
The 2023 SAZAEYC Annual Conference is an excellent opportunity to:
We are interested in including new voices and reaching new audiences at the conference. If you have not presented before, we encourage you to submit a proposal. We also want to increase the number of presentations that are offered in Spanish and/or bilingually. Please consider submitting a proposal and helping us increase the diversity of voices in our community.
The conference will be held at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Each session will be 1.5 hours and will either be in the morning or afternoon as this is a full day conference.

Session proposals for the 2023 SAZAEYC Annual Conference may be submitted through Google Forms. Please be sure to include all information requested, as incomplete applications will not be considered.

- Contribute to early childhood educators' professional learning - beyond mandated professional development requirements
- Build your colleagues' and your own sense of professionalism and commitment to young children
- Connect and network with fellow professionals in the early childhood community

- Fostering Wellness - including self care, mindfulness, nutrition, and health
- Nurturing the Whole Child - including child development, classroom and behavioral management, trauma informed care, and child centered practice
